summer learning journey 3

 

this is my summer place its called the puhurihuri summer beach camp.

here we have palm trees made out of twigs and leaves.

and the top to bottom covered with the crunchiest leaves.

for the finishing touch white and pink petals, fading to white.

I really enjoyed this because...I got to use nature to form a spectacular art, that I could've never thought of.

beauty comes from all different shapes and sizes.

!!CAUTION!! If you have plants or near, be extremely careful because, even leaves could be the end of your life. I accidentally pricked my finger on a thorn on the stick.

this is the summer learning journey 1,and its all based on the art and your colourful mind.

you'll first enter your colouring book and be present to over 20 pictures.

you will then decided what picture you've chosen, and my eyes laid on these roses.

for they were just,standing,petals trickling down, rose by rose went pale.

it was my job to put a life into theese flowers and make it grow like it once did.

what is your favorute flower? 

I really enjoyed this journey because...you can finally let your art skills free and see how creative you can be.

SUmmer learning journey 2 game thrower

 

this is the summer learning journey 2.

we watched a video on the site and the woman's name was nonogirl.

she told us about the resources like "rubbish" can be used as a creative masterpice.

I decided I would make a game thrower.

Introducing game thrower!

:things needed:

1.notebook

2.toilet roll (or rolled up peace of paper)

3.cup

4.rocks X3

I put my best effort into this I conjoined, sliced and searched.

and...It paid off,This would be a really fun game when your bored at home.

load your rocks and shoot into the aim goal! can you do it?

I really enjoyed this because... It was really fun to use the the resources all around us and who knew you could make an outstanding game!?

Taking flight

 

This is chillie 4(reading) and today we had to watch a short wordless animation.

after we would make a slide and make the same animation we watched,

but ion a summary.

for my summary I put in the B.M.E.

B.M.E stands for beginning, middle, end.

I really enjoyed this because.... I really love making animation's and I got to make one.

If I were a kea

 I wound glide and soar in time, with the wind blowing beneath my wings.

               I would feast on only bushy Trees, plants, materials,  

                       mouldy rotten logs. Even Other animals

When It's time I lay my eggs I slowly approach the beach forests and rest.

this is my poem if I were a kea. I would do stuff that keas do.live like a Kea does,And move how a kea does,Speak how a kea does. And do everything that keas do.

this was an amazing thought of how It would like to be a kea and the feeling.

Today in room 3 group 4 chilli tasks.(reading)

we had to Inferer the setting of the text.

we got given a video here

we got given questions on a slide we had to infer where the people where from the setting,

at the end go got to decided from 4 creative adventures,spooky,wonderful images.

I chose the haunted house one because...it had lots of details and I felt like i could describe a lot with it.

Have you ever inferred?when you were inferring did you ever look at the setting/background?

I really enjoyed because...We got to look carefully for clues like if we were on a mission to solve a crime.

My new invented bug

 

In room three we had to create or copy a bug we also learned a new thing in this,

if you insert a shape you want, go to tools, search up a colour + texture,click on the one you want,

and just like that you will get a nice textures on your shape.

I really enjoyed this because...We got to customise our own bug and use our imagination.

i loved how mine turned out.

Snake attack

 

This is chilli 4 reading,we watched a video called snake attack,

After we've done watching the video,

We got sent a slide with parts of the videos paused.

we had to infer what The characters were feeling and what the other person thought about them.

Have a look at the slide how do you think the characters are feeling?

I really enjoyed this because...We got to get a close up look on how they are and see their expressions.

Are they mad?angry?surprised?Hurt?Sorry?confused?Who knows?

Me and cooper in room three worked on a slide called who kidnapped the principle?

there were four suspects Sally,Brent,Rex,Randy.Rhonda and Bo.

their was evidence papers notes tests and emails.

We settled down to the one who was the most sus person out of all so we circled Sally,

Sally Zhou,here is a massive reason why...She got sent an email from a teacher that said she had a meeting in the office,Now students don't have meetings don't they?

in the end me and Cooper thought there was no right or wrong anser.

it gave us a peace of text and then we had to answer why and use the clues in the text.

 Insects can live anywhere in the world. They can live underground,or live on the surface.

Most insects can't live on water.They have really talented skills which means...Their homes are really impressive.

in room 3 we had to read a article about insects habitats.

we had to make a conclusion about the article and write it on a docs.

Arrays

 

Toady i did arrays for my maths.(Chilli three)

It was really fun!

First i had to make a prediction(guess) of how many i think there are.

Then i had to calculate how much the total was.

I realised it would take me a long time to count one by one.

so instead i used times.

it turned out to be a lot faster.

Have you ever tried to solve a problem that was an array?

was it hard,tricky,OK?

I really enjoyed doing arrays i wish there could be a more array problems I can do in the future!

How to make a poi

 

This is my slideshow of how to make a poi.

A poi is a item that is used in kapa haka and special  events.

Its mainly used in culture dances (pacific island.....) .

I'm giving you s.t.a.t reasons why every kid should have a phone

                         Emergencies,Messaging,Danger!

 

Firstly, If something terrible happens or someone gets                          strongly hurt, 

And we have a phone we can call anybody like the emergency service or their parents, and get HELP!

Secondly,If someone needs to tell us something, Absolutely Important! and thier far away, We are able to contact them and Hear what's going on.

Last of all,Us kids could get easily in danger example:Kidnapped and they wouldn't expect us having a phone, so we call dial 111 or 911 to come and rescue

I hope you parents/teachers/caregivers understand why not only parents need a phone, but kids also have important reasons for a phone.

I really enjoyed this because...we got to pick a topic for what we can write. I chose this one because...

 I really want a phone, and I feel like its unfair that parents get one, but us kids don't.

copycat

Yesterday our teacher got us another task that said.

Simon just discovered copycats.

a square is a copy cat because you can put four of them together to make another square.

Simon wonders if triangles and circles are copycats.

IT was really enjoyable and fun because.

you had the ability to make art, witch was really a fun power.

I only think that circles, are but triangles are safe.

its like copy cats are criminals, think of that will help your fun imagination.

Today on 22nd of July we had to buddy up with someone that was a year 4.
I chose my friend livia because I thought we would get it done faster.
So how this worked was we each had to read a speech bubble and that was a comment,
we had these two pictures One was a thumbs up The other was a thumbs down,
I read One and lets just say it was bad,
I ctrl + c (copy and paste)
and I put the thumbs down in the comment I just read.
and then I had to comment on the document.

Making a building

This is my church i created from my tinker cad plan and made it reality. I had tin foil paper, paint cardboard boxes, paint brush and tape.
