Summer learning journey #1 kick start

For summer learning journey's #1 task kick start, we went ahead and choose one photo to colour in and used the wonderful colours to decorate it here I chose a spaceship landing on earth, I decided to add some unusual colours you would not likely add into the picture and vola! my creation.

In this task we coloured a picture ( online ) and used this template to insert our own creation vs the original masterpiece. And I had also listed down below 4 interesting facts about the original pictures meaning.

This task was pretty fun!... there were a variety of different space pictures to choose from, + a variety of colours to!

I look further to competing in more summer learning journey tasks and hoping to place in either: 1st, 2nd or maybe even 3rd

Recently on the slide I am working on, on page 32 I found out that the school asked if we could create a new game and if we won they'd post one of the gif trophies onto our blog!

6 Week 6 T4 distance learning

 

Hello, my name is Dani and right now I will be giving you a conclusion of what I have been learning in the past week. First off on slide 2 we did some reading about the eco house and the nga motu house, after that, we used our knowledge on what features did the nga motu house have and the eco house have, then what features did they both have? Then on slide 4 we had a go on creating our own island by thinking if we mashed those two houses together, what would the new invention be, slide three is actually similar to slide five instead, we think about the elements of each house. We had already finished learning about the two houses so it was time so move onto something new. We started slide six with some reading from chilli 1-4 and we started focusing on math from slide 8-23 and on slide 24 we had 20 minutes of matific. Time for a steam challenge! todays challenge was re-creating a transport that already exits and adjusting it, Or, making a completely new type of transport, so we did some planning, then used an app to transform our imaginations, onto the screen! And page 28 we wrote a short but fascinating jingle or a slogan and then create a poster or billbored to advertise your new product! (I used canva for this one) and they even gave us a spare slide t put the links to our creations then from page 31-32 we did some creates 1 slide for school the other for home, and some extras for super speedy workers.

Is kapa haka good for us?

 Kapa haka is an excellent way to practice our traditional dance to represent our country aterareo (new zealand) In many different ways but the most popular Is of course our kapa haka 

Firstly kapa haka Is a good way to express our feelings and the way we move, It shows and means a lot, like they say words are stronger than our actions and who knows they might actually be, kapa haka Is also a very excellent way to express our culture to represent who we are, Its like introducing yourself except in a way of a dance.

Secondly kapa haka can help our muscles get strong by exercising How, the stroger we force our bodies the stronger our actions become and our muscles too, kapa haka represents force and confidence witch really represents who we are and they have a lot of meaning too for example… The boys starting position where they kneel down and grip their arm to another, that shows,represents and means they are warriors.

Lastly kapa haka Is also a way to show a happy pride people from aeotereo new zeleand will be really proud to represent Their country and show pride to all and I think that’s how the history started of as kapa haka who knows I could be right.

Today in the kauri hub online we had to post a piece of writing to persuade someone about If kapa haka was good or bad I did three reasons why It was good and the reason we did this or not was because we do kapa haka at our school and wanted to see If we wanted to lean more of that so by writing a piece Is placing your vote I voted yes what about you?

Culture significance

🆃oday In the kh (kauri hub) we did some leaning about cultures but specially we did It online due to the covid lately. we had a meeting at 9:00 and our teacher discussed and went through our work and even got to answer some questions then we made a copy and started editing, the first slide contained books listed in rows chilli 1-4 since I was In chilli four I read 3 pieces of texts because that's what I needed to do, the second slide contained 3 questions and you had to answer using your point of view and have backup towards your answer I also added a link to the slide connecting to my answer so you can have some inspiration, the third slide contained a chart with one column red orange and red It was supposed to be based off a traffic light In each column there were specific things you needed to type in like words I know,words I think I know and words to look up, so I filled them all In and go ready to go to slide 4, on slide four It had picture of flip grid with the link to flip grid (the teachers accidentally put In the wrong link so go to papakura class sites kauri hub and you'll get it.) and you had share a new word that you learned from your traffic light chart, the 5 slide had a writing topic you needed to write about it was about Is kapa haka good for us I will post my writing onto my blog so stay tuned, next on slide 6 we had a maths activity we were given 3 questions like 29+8,123+47 and 247+363 I answered them on the slide and we had been given a link to a maths maker and what you had to do Is you had to make up a question of any sort show 2 ways to solve your question then use pictures to show your thinking have a go at my question how many ways can you solve It? the next two slides had maths problems one you HAD to do and one you COULD do, then on the next slide the next slide contained a photo of matific and a link to It and you had to do It for 20 minutes so I worked on matific for 20 minutes then gained access to the next slide,The next slide had 6 options you could choose from there were a lot but you only needed to do two so I chose to transfer my English name Into Chinese and learn how to make my own poi, I added a slide and put In photo of how to write and pronounce my name and my dancing with my homemade poi! the last and lucky slide were extras for fast finishers witch I will definitely be doing because I completed my work In a day! there was also a google meet at 1 pm and over their It was being recorded we played a little kahoot and asked some questions to help us carry on our leaning faster.

I really enjoyed this because...we got to get slide that contained multiple and different fun activities witch was really enjoyable and helpful at the same time!

Frog Facts.

 

Today in the khh (kahikatia hub) we did a project about frogs, We had a little tutorial about frogs by the teacher Then we had two research some specific stuff so then we created a slide and there our adventure waits! we each did our own frog facts,habitats and photos then we finished It off witch the specific research we needed to do like their diets,how are frogs going extinct,how did 3 of NZ's native frogs become extinct and etc (and so on).

I really enjoyed this because...we got to do some really fun research about frogs and It also will help save the extinction of frogs witch are animals and personally I love animals.

Music or sports what do you chose?

 

Today in the kh (kauri hub) we did a slide about sports or  music what do you prefer? the first slide contained a link that you needed to read about the Olympics and answer the questions on the side like... do you think sport helps people lean how to work together in a positive way,are team sports better than individual sports (use examples to back up your thinking) and etc the second slide contained some questions you needed to answer by using screencastify or make a web profile using google drawings I decided to do a web profile using google drawings and put the link in the slide the 3-4 slides had books you needed to read listed chilli 1,2,3 and the 4th slide contained two posters as an example and basically what you needed to do is you needed to create and infographic poster or a graph that shares different point of views and statistics about sports and finally the last slide contained 1-4 videos all about different types of sport and what you needed to do is that you needed to imagine you are one of the players in the video and tell what you feel,think,touch and see.

I really enjoyed this because...you get to imagine you are one of the players and see their view point of what they really see.

Zoos or wild

Today in the kh (kauri hub) our topic was balance so we focused on how to make things a balanced life and so we firstly started off with animals the question for today was... should we have zoos? we got a copy of the slide now it was time to place our decisions the first slide contained videos and a link about zoo debate you had to read about the good and bad side towards zoo's and listen to what other think then we got asked some questions all about zoo debate like what is your view about zoo's and why do you think that way,If you could asked the owner of a zoo some questions what might they be and etc the next slide contained some books to chilli 1-4 all about animals then the next slide had a link to flipgrid with some questions you need to answer while making the video on flipgrid then on the next slide there was a chart labbled name and meaning/what it is and then down the name line it has zoo safari marine park and etc basically what you had to do is research what they mean on google then write it down in the meaning/what it is then on the next slide there were 1-7 sentences and a box filled with words you had to read the sentences then fill out the missing words that had been placed in the box then on the next slide you had to create a picture of your perfect habitat for an animal or animals and think about things like what shelter does it need entertainment,toys and etc then click a picture of the dlo you created and upload it onto the next slide.

I really enjoyed this because...you got to create your own perfect habitat for your very own animal!

stories,dance and culture

 

today In the kh (kauri hub) we did an activity about stories,dance and culture the first and second slide had books with chilli  the audience one,two,three and four I always read chilli four so I red it. the 3rd slide had a DLO example and how to infer a picture 1st you get the evidence from the text then use that towards what you know then make your inference. on the next slide (4th slide) it had different pictures of animals and adventures and you had to infer and create a new slide to show how you inferred using the same steps. the 5th slide also had a photo expect it was different it had a boy holding water next the the tap with a surprised face you also had to infer what he is trying to tell. then on the 7th slide (final slide) you could create a dlo there were some videos links on the slide the top had songs and the bottom had dances basically what you needed to do is research and create a dance or song based on a cultral story it could be a story that you read this week, they also left a example in a link, the other choice was recreating a haka or cultural dance you want to practise and share.

I really enjoyed this because...It was really fun recreating or creating a dance or a song!

If I could be any animal what would I be?

 If I could be any animal I would be a alpha wolf alpha is a rank and wolf is an animal the alpha wolf is the leader of the pack a pack is a group of somethings. There are 9 ranks the 9th rank is omega they eat last they are baby sitters also stress relievers the 8th ranks is kappa kappas are the lead hunters in the pack they run the hunts when alphas or betas tell them to and keep the pack well fed and on diet the 7th rank is a lotas I have no clue what they do so I cant explain, the 6th ranks is zetas zetas are like betas but more “intelligent” and are the alphas left hand the 5th one is epsilon they are very villiont when rough and the only listen to gammas or alphas when under command or rough they can become dangerous hunting machines the 4th rank is gamma they are under the betas command they act like leader in fights and are strong and fast in battle, when its under the alphas command It can transform other wolfs into werewolf known as epsilons the 3rd rank is delta it on the same level as gamma but they might be under alpha and betas although they are higher up ranking than other wolfs they take control of the spars because they are to busy the 2nd rank is beta they are second in command they can wait for the alpha to die and take lead or  challenge the alpha to a brawll and last but not least the 1st is alpha they are leaders and get to do anything.

today in the kh (kauri hub) we did a piece of writing about animals it could be writing about catching a suspect that was an animal or say what animal you would want to be I picked the piece of writing what animal I wanted to be and I picked a wolf I explained what type of wolf I wanted to be and types of wolfs there are

today in the kh (kahakatia hub) we did an arts rotation and we did some tivavae art!

Family and friends

 

Today in the kh (kauri hub) we did an activity about family and friends on the first slide there were books for us to read then we needed to find 5 spelling patterns to ough aught and ight and find 5  prefix for pre dis and mis. the next slide we had to find 3 synonyms for joy balanced and fairness then write 3 antonyms for ignorant disrespectful and miserable. the next slide had a chart with numbers to 1-15 and put in any 15 words you can think of then use the crossword generator the link is in the slide and use the words you thought of and make it a word search. the next thing was a create and you had to make a kahoot about synonyms and antonyms and make 1 question about that using your words you can think of. last but not least you can choose one of the examples shown on the slide and create a piece of art of what is happening in the story I made a animation using google slides chose the first paragraph and left the link there on the slide for whoever goes to my blog checks it out they can have access to my art.

~My moment in time~

Purpose to:descript Audience:familly R.t (remember to):add more depth into the story line. There I was lifting my racket around my shoulder getting ready to do a big hit while the ball rises in the air i do eye to eye contact with the ball and cross my everything and hit… SMASH! The ball bounced of so hard the opponent even had to rush to the other side of the court I, myself run into the middle and got ready to hit a ball in front of me or back my opponent hits the ball hard I can see their sweat trickling down from their fore head there probably tired out from all this running up and down i took all the advice I’ve been told and make every hit count! BANG!

In the kh (kaur hub) we had to do a piece of writing about a moment in time you had to choose a sport maybe in inter school competition you did sport you do out of school or lunchtime winter sports and add detail like what you feel add add descriptive words to make it more pop.

Samoan laugngauge

 

In the kh (kauri hub) we did a activity this week all about Samoan we got a slide to start on and they left us to do the work firstly there was texts,audios and books all about Samoan with one side with chilli one and two and the other has three and four we had to read at least two text then we could carry one. the next slide had a picture that we had to infer about what was Samoan like in there then a fifth slide had a word search and we had to find the words about animals in Samoan. then on the next slide we could create a digital drawing using some of the words listed on slide 6 all in Samoan like:flowers in Samoan,sun in Samoan,moon in Samoan, mountains in Samoan and etc. then you could create a video,cartoon,book,song,game,puppet show,poster or other dlo to teach either a class member,middle school student,middle school student parents/caregiver or grandparents about Samoan numbers up to ten,Samoan animal names,Samoan colours or information about Samoan the country, I decided I would create a poster about Samoan numbers up to ten to show a middle school student I decided not to do the early finishers cause Friday was the last day you could post and I ended up posting on that day.

I really enjoyed this because...there were a lot of creates in this slide and was really fun to make and you got to show it to someone so you put your skills to good use.

how to make Samoan coconut rolls

 Ingredients: 20 frozen dinner rolls, 10 oz of coconut milk,1c of sugar.

Equipment:9x13 glass baking dish, cooking spray,bowl.

Instructions:

. coat a 9x13 glass baking dish with cooking spray and arrange rolls evenly to thaw.

.cover with plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray.

.allow it to cook until its doubled the size.

. grab a bowl and combine coconut milk and sugar whisk it until the sugar is dissolved.

.pour ⅔ of the mixture over the rolls and bake till gold or brown.

. take it out and pour the rest of the mixture (if you have) on top.

Time:4-5 hours line:3 20-30 minutes line:last one degrees:350.

today in the kh (kauri hub) for writing we could either write about ...a information report,recipe or a narrative. I chose to do a recipe and the recipe I listed was how to make coconut rolls the topic was all about Samoan so it was obvious it had to be from Samoan.

I really enjoyed this because...we got to choose a recipe to write down and create also I was thinking that i could take my book home and actually see If this recipe works, have you have wrote down a recipe and tried it if you did let me know down in the comments thank you!

How to make Tanghulu (Chinese fruit candy's)

 Ingredients,fruit/fruits(any),water(cold).

equitment:pot,sticks/stick,candy thermometer(if you have)

spoon,sheet pan,silicone baking sheet or parchment paper,pan spray,syrup.

steps:

1. wash and dry your fruits/fruit.

2.arrange the fruits/fruit on the sticks, average 1-3 per piece per stick.

3.put water and sugar mixture to boil.

4. use your candy thermometer to track the sugar water mixture until it reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit,

OR test the temperature by dipping the spoon in, then dip it in the cold water then dip it into sryup if it hardens immediately your good to go!

5. get your fruits on the sticks and dip it into the mixture.

5.place it on your sheet pan and wait for it to dry.

6.ENJOY!

!TIPS! if it sticks spray it with pan spray before putting it on.

if you want to save it lightly cover it with plastic wrap.

Identity

 

today in the kh (kauri hub) we did a fun project about Identity first we had to read or listen to 2 books or audios,next we had to explain what Identity is by using pictures or words I used food,people and flags to explain what it was and also wrote what is your culture,food or yourself. the fifth page had a picture with a link inside it basically we had to do a really fun treasure hunt we had to search what our name means and where it came from my name came from Latin and it 

mean "god is my judge" and make a video on flip grid  then upload it. the next one was watch and discuss with a buddy about inferences and answer the questions in the videos and record in your book.then they gave us a picture it was a family on a boat with a house flooded everywhere on the floor they also gave us some question to answer like how did they fit so many things on a boat?whey are all of those people on the boat? what happened? etc. then create a identity chart with your name in the middle and what you are like daughter/son,mother/father,what you like,what job you have and etc. then lastly you create your own name art using the trick called reflection and creation, then create pictures out of your name that you reflected then in the gaps in between fill it out with more pictures show it to the teacher then your done!

I really liked this because...the name art was really fun it included a lot of colouring,designing and drawing.

air bender traits

  I disagree that i'm an air bender because…

It says that air bender are dynamic which means they come up with a lot of good/bright Ideas, for my consideration I feel like i’m not that kind of person who makes ideas, I’m the one who helps with the Ideas.

my bender is good because we have a package of powers that include: flying,running fast (invisibility), jumping high,smoke bombs,air pets: flying bison,firefly's,winged lemur, hermit crab, ring-tailed winged lemur.

In the kh (kauri hub) we did a very fun activity basically the teachers set up a video about what bender are you fire,water,air or earth, (I really liked doing this because I do a lot of these videos at home). I got air as you can tell from the tittle, and we had to write about if we disagree or agree with our traits I disagreed and also we had to persuade our author into thinking that are bender is the best!

I really enjoyed this because...we got to do a video that was about choosing 1 out of 4 choices then calculating your points at the end to see what you got!

10 world war two facts! (ww2 facts)

 

today in the kh (kauri hub) we did a little activity all about world war two, firstly we got our Chromebooks and writing books and a pencil we first wrote and researched world war two facts and listed 1-10 in our books and wrote the facts down. then we went ahead and showed the teacher then we use one of tools and then write them down with pictures to show the meaning.

Hobby/jobs

 

today in the kh (kauri hub) we did an activity for our reading about jobs, basically we discussed about what you would want to become in the future then go on the reading slides and do the activity and listen to others. on the first slide it had books stated chilli 1,2,3 and 4 about different types of jobs like cooking,chess,space, camping and etc, the seconded slide had a a chart listed with five spaces, one slot saying word, the others said definition and sentence, we had to write down 5 unknown words towards you, search the definition/word and write a sentence with that word in it. the second slide was a create slide about what type of hobby looks the most interesting to you on page 2-3 ( see lines 3-4 ) then insert a picture and answer three reasons why you chose that hobby and what made it interesting. the third slide had a video about how to be an illustrator using arts and crafts. the forth slide was about strategies for figuring out unknown words, they gave you two examples then you had to try discover 8 unknown words.

the fifth slide had another video about prefix and use it to help you to decode. the next two slides had  three letters words and you to finish it off it gave you an example then you would have to choose one of the three letter words and finish it on the chart. then you had three options option number one was to turn your hobby into you dream job and design a logo for it, the second option was to create a video and show show the teachers of a tutorial of a hobby, the last option was to pick a new hobby and learn a new language with duolingo and paste your score on the next slide.

animals past, present, future, adaption.

 

in the kh (kauri hub) we did a little project about animals pasts, presents, futures and adaptions, so firstly we had to read and listen to one video and one text under the chilli (level) you want. the next slide contained words with a link to a puzzle maker, the steps were you needed to copy those words and make them into a word search (word find) with that link, the third slide had a fun video about animal adaption and how they move, next you had to go to the link called miro and post a poster of your idea of what adaption meant to you, the fourth slide it also had adaption in it but differently, basically you had to choose and animal I chose my personal favourite a wolf so in put it in the text box, step two was where you had to research where they currently live and my research came up with different habitats so I decided to put all of those into the step two text box, step three was what do they have to survive in there habitats, I put on my thinking cap and thought about some ideas like fur,howls and etc. the fifth slide was a fun project for you to create a new habitat, I decided I would make a old war place with fireballs drooping down from the sky. the sixth slide was thinking about what your animal needed to have to survive in your habitat creation, my thoughts were it needed to grow bigger claws to climb out of its situation and have less sharp teeth to help people and more. there was one video and one text about robot dogs opening doors, once you have gotten enough information about it you had to discuss with a buddy and ask questions like... will robotic pets really happen in the future? what are the good things about robotic pets? etc. the last slide had a create with scratch in it basically start off with any tool you'd like and create something then go onto scratch if you have't already and past your create into scratch and make an animation. i really enjoyed this because... there were alot of fun create activities to do and design witch was really fun!

nonsense creture

 

in the kh ( kauri hub) I made a nonsense creature of any kind I got a little stuck of what I should do but I figured out that I would do a ram mixed with a polar bear. I even gave it i'ts own name because that is the first step of anything, on the google drawings you can see the creature that I created next to it has a dsc (description) to introduce you to it and get to know about it more.

I really enjoyed this because...we got to create our own imaginary creature and designing their ability's,powers,emotions,looks,etc.

change pt2

 

In the kh (kauri hub) we did another change project pt2! but It was change for words, so basically in the first slide they had fun little boxes with 1,2,3 and 4 (meaning chilli 1 chilli 2 etc) they each had different unexplored stories with the same must do's you must read 2 texts, the second slide contained a video demonstrating 5 ways of how to solve unfamiliar words, the 4th slide contained finding at least 4 unknown words in the 2 texts you have read the 5th slide contained the 2nd activity sheet about a sentence having an underlined words in the sentence we have to uncover the words that were underlined and find their meanings on the 6th slide contained the 3rd activity sheet witch was finding the root words (ex undo=do) the 4th slide contained making your own fun little game of kahoot and test others players if the can find the meanings for these words then write a summary of 2 texts you have read. Share... click on the link on flipgrid and will take you to a world of communications and fun, and all you have to do is share 3 new words you have learned,post then your done!

I really enjoyed this because...you got to learn to identify any word that you have trouble with so you wont need to stop and search the web to find out!

chnage project

 

Today in the kh (kauri hub) we did a little change project about what you would like to change,so they decided to create a slide all about change,the first slide contained what has changed around the school so our teacher let us out and had a wonder around and see what had changed. the second slide contained a survey of your own and let you add what you'd like to the land but you would need a little help off your partners. They decided for me to design a new senior school playground since the middle school got one (the link will be added on the the slide for you to check out my design) the last and final things were spot the differences of what you have seen between the two pictures given, then go ahead and share your thinking and skills.

I really enjoyed this because... you get to cut a peace of your mind and add your design onto the land to create a land with other peoples designs

space

 

today in the kh (kauri hub) we got a topic that was all based on space the first slide contained books and videos with knowledge from all about space then using that knowledge on a word scramble I was stuck on 2 words but eventually I got it,next reading poem and finding the meanings of words unknown then there with 4 options with 2 creates i choose to do the kahoot about space witch i really hope we can play sometime in class then design your own planet either on google drawings or make a poster.

I really enjoyed this because... we got to do a little fun word scramble and watch videos all about space and make a little kahoot along with your own designed planet.

environmental changes lcs 2021

 

for the kauri hub at home we had to do this at for our own learning skillls,

first were some books to read and you had to atleast read to of them then another task for reading was epic we also got to do some research about different meanings/definitions of words our ako whanuau gave us,we'd put them in alphabetical order first then find the definitions/meaning and 3 lucky words to create their own rhyming buddy.maths...i love maths its one of my favourite subjects to do at school there were different pictures and a box below allowing us to put as many reasonable answers as wanted including at least 2 answers from two different problems this had to be my favourite part personification I was all confused for a second but their was help from videos the video taught me that personification means a object would be equal to doing human things example:the clouds were raining on the shower+personification=the clouds give the flowers a nice ice cold bath...there are more different examples included onto the slide spotting personifications a nice short text with millions of personification texts

i could only find 5 lines could you spot more? trying out personification the next task was trying it by simply writing a piece of texting using personifications in it... 2 create options i did chilli 3-4 ones because i didn't have the equipment for the chilli 1-2 i made a nice detailed plan for different terms throughout the year beans chillies etc then creating a video about the 4 seasons transforming using animaker since this slide was really long they allowed us to use a week doing this

slushies and donuts.

 

In the kauri hub ako whanau jain we did a type of different writting explaining what were crazy, addicted to , never tired, I wear etc,I am crazy about steaming hot MacDonald pies (apple)

I am addicted to slushies and sleeping 

i can never get tired of eating and sleeping, I wear shorts and necklaces ALWAYS (mostly necklaces) 

I love singing playing and bouncing on my trampoline

and I like chocolate candy and roblox.

I really liked this because...We  got to express our own feeling of who we are and sop people can get more information about us people.

Role model

 

in the kauri hub we did a role model slide of who and what your role model has.

 2-7 pages of the slide was about your role model what they have and who they are,

my role model is dharm man because he makes little short films with massive meanings in them,

I've been watching his videos for 2 years now and I really got inspired every time I'd comment he'd reply to me hes like my guardian savoir! the 8th slide was finding a quote that you really liked,there were so many quotes out there that were so inspiring I got caught up and probably took me a couple minutes to choose one I had finally picked one but it wasn't one of the best one there were so many good ones out there.

I really enjoyed this because...we finally got to do something that will hopefully and luckily change some peoples attitudes I had said this more than once but it is true there is lots and tons of bulling in our school do you agree with me? if you do make sure to let me in the comments and keep updated with my blog by going on and following me. 

week 2 distance learning

 

today at home the kauri hub did distance learning online sharing about yourself and your thoughts along with writing and maths.for maths we did how many ways can you solve a problem, for thought i did what would each color make you feel and present?and for sharing about yourself you could either make a pepeha on gamefroot read your pepeha or write your pepeha using a template. making a wordscearch and learn and watch.

I really liked this because...I loved how we got to introduce yourself making and using something and sharing our thoughts to others.

how to be rrcl

 

today in papakura central school kauri hub we learned how to be rrcl 

( respectful,responsibility,connected,learners), we could either make a poster or comic strip to present the meanings,

me and my friend khwan made this poster of how to be rrcl responsibility taking care of our belongings,resoectfull saying please and thank you,conected helping other out and lastly leaners take all the information we need.

I really enjoyed this because there have been losts of bullied people and our school and can hope to make make things bettter.

Gamfroot pepeha

 

today in the kauri hub we did distance learning and it was all about introducing yourself.

we did a gamefroot coding pepeha game where you explore the world and introduce yourself at the same time.

you introduced yourself by saying your name,home,waka(boat/plane),parents names,grandmas and grandpas name and your river.

surprisingly I didn't really enjoy this adventure because it had a lot of bugs and was really confused how to move my screen and insert a photo of me and do other stuff.

Treaty of waitangi

 

today in papakura central school kauri hub we each made each copy of a treaty of waitangi slide. waitangi is where everybody and chiefs have to sign the scroll to agree with something. we got multiple different activities to do, like what you already know about it? learn, watch and read, create a whatangi word seach puzzle, research famous people at whatangi,myth busting (research about the questions see if it's true or false), learn and create your own flag.

I really enjoyed this because...as I said there are so many fun activities on one single slide and loved how we could use our imagination to create our flag.

Summer learning journey

 this is from the summer leaning journey and by the help of nono girl and her lab we were able to get the power of jump boost. we created a cata pault that could shoot items into the goal instead of us doing it!

I really enjoyed this because... It got really fun will doing the process and a bit messy to!

pixels summer learning journey

  

this is a summer learning journey task all based on pixel

there is website called piskel where you could either a Christmas tree or something you would wear in summer.

i decided to make a Christmas tree.I decided i would make the colors gradient so i used three shades of green instead of making it one color.then I put on some lights on the tree and used bright coulours so it would pop.and lastly I decided I could make a pot for it I design the pot blue to present it as the ocean.

did you know that the 3 coulers red,blue and green makes can make over 16 million different types of coulers in one block.

I really enjoyed this because...you could take your time and experience pixel drawings, pixel blocks, and how pixels were made!
